Join us for a Winter Fest, a fun-filled community event offering a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages. The 2025 Winter Fest will be held on February 8th from 2pm-10pm and include an evening of dancing hosted by the TOC. 

This collaborative event, held annually at the Preserve at Chocorua (who are kind enough to donate their entire property) was designed to benefit the Chocorua Lake Conservancy, the Tamworth Outing Club and the entire Tamworth community.

In prior years we have offered a winter camping expo featuring tents, snowshoes, and trapping gear, with demonstrations by local experts. The opportunity to learn about animal adaptations and furbearers through interactive displays of pelts, skulls, tracks, and scat, and enjoy a nature scavenger hunt for kids. Outdoor activities include bonfires, s’mores, sledding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing (bring your own equipment). There will also be indoor winter crafts for all ages, and, weather permitting, a communal snow sculpture.

After a day of outdoor and winter activities, warm up indoors with a delicious supper, drinks, storytelling, and live music, wrapping up the big day with one of our world-famous dances! 

This is a community inspired effort with proceeds going to the TOC and CLC. We could not do it without the assistance of many volunteers and businesses who donate their time, energy and products for the good of the community.
